 The standard Hunter Ski kayak is a ready to use kayak, and is an ideal fishing platform to target any species of freshwater fish.Here are my reccomendations for kitting a freshwater kayak. 1. Anchor system - it is crucial to be able to stay in one place when bait fishing. Thus an anchor is a must. The pivot position of the anchor must be changeable to enable the angler to be facing which ever direction according to which way the wind is blowing. 2. Umbrella - an umbrella saves lives and is easy to store if the wind does pick up. 3. Fitted fishing box - weight is not a problem when freshwater fishing, thus I take a double layered box which can store lots of tackle. 4. Piece of rope - to tie up against any structure instead of using the anchor. |
